Nestled Together
Nestled Together
11 7/8 x 8 3/4 inches | Acrylic on Canvas | Signed & Sealed
Painted in 1998 and newly unearthed from my archives, “Nestled Together” captures a quiet moment of nature’s warmth and simplicity. This small acrylic painting features four little birds—likely sparrows—perched closely side by side on a delicate twig, floating across a soft robin’s egg blue background. Their gentle presence radiates calm companionship and rustic charm.
Along the bottom two-thirds of the piece runs a creamy strip approximately an inch and a half wide. Within this strip sits a loosely painted nest cradling three tiny dark greenish eggs, a symbol of new life and quiet hope. Flowing vines, softly rendered in blacks, browns, and muted greens, trail gracefully across this area, evoking natural twigs and winding greenery. On the left side, a quaint birdhouse completes the composition, adding a touch of cozy, welcoming detail.
Sealed and signed in the bottom right corner, “Nestled Together” is ready to bring its timeless warmth and natural simplicity to your space, whether displayed alone or as part of your growing collection of archived works.
