“Edge of Motion” is a bold contemporary abstract painted in 1998, during my years running a full-scale faux finishing business. Originally designed to be sealed and used as a floor cloth, this piece was meticulously hemmed and folded with intention—but ultimately tucked away and never shown or offered for sale… until now.
Its sweeping angles, dynamic layers, and blurred, horizon-like strokes suggest movement, distance, and tension, all contained within structured geometry. Shades of indigo, gold, cream, and black race across the surface in rhythmic intervals, echoing landscapes, light shifts, or even a memory in motion.
This piece measures 27” x 36.5” and is currently unmounted. It does show minor wear and a few crease marks from years in storage—subtle reminders of its journey and vintage character. Whether mounted on board or framed under glass, it would make a powerful, one-of-a-kind statement piece in any modern interior.
